Hospice

We will journey with you.

The following covered hospice services are provided as necessary under the hospice benefit for terminal illnesses:

Nursing Care
Medical Social worker services
Physician services
Counseling (including dietary and spiritual)
Hospice aide and homemaker services
Medical appliances and supplies
Medications relating to the terminal illness and those required for symptom control
Physical, occupational and speech therapies as needed
Inpatient care (short-term inpatient care for symptom control)
Respite care
Bereavement services for families (up to 13 months following a patient’s death)
Volunteers

Not all patients and families avail themselves of all services provided under the hospice benefit. Each patient’s care is individualized, based on the patient’s and family’s needs and requests.
